Author Linda Seay’s “Our Miracle After Midnight” Affirms the Power of Prayer

Linda Seay exemplifies perseverance in her prayer life, which is best illustrated by her story in her book “Our Miracle After Midnight” (Covenant Books; 2019).
 
The author lived out the passages, particularly Jeremiah 29:12, Mark 11:24, and 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, about the importance of prayer in one’s faith journey when her son, Darius, was involved in a horrific car accident on October 3, 2013. Like most parents, she received a call that all parents fear. “We received the call from the policewoman at 12:57 a.m.,” said Seay.
 
Rather than blame God for the untimely situation that she and her family were in, the author turned to Him. Indeed, the accident proved to be an opportune time to place – and strengthen – her faith and trust in His saving power. He did not fail her.
 
“As we prayed, released faith by speaking God’s Word only, we witnessed our son Darius’ miraculous recovery,” said the author.

Linda is a retired registered dental hygienist (providing treatment and preventative care to the military aboard Camp Lejeune, NC). Taught Women’s Sunday school for 8 years, and held Bible study in a local nursing home for 7 years. Linda is one of 5 prayer leaders on her church prayer line, praying and declaring God’s promises. Linda along with her husband served as leaders of marriage ministry for over 15 years. Linda, along with her husband serves as as Prepare–Enrich certified facilitators, working with married and engaged couples, using the assessment to help couples strengthen their relationships.

Linda working as a Prepare – Enrich trainer, trains and certifies others by holding workshops (including virtual workshops), to become certified Prepare-Enrich facilitators, to be able to work with married and engaged couples to help them in strengthening their relationships. Linda has an Associate of Applied Science, Coastal Caroline Community College (1977); Bachelor of Science, Religion, Liberty University (2012); and Master of Arts in Human Services: Marriage and family, Liberty University (2013). Linda and her husband, John, are active and faithful members of their church, Without Limits Christian Center of New Bern, NC. They are proud parents of four adult children and seven grandchildren.
