“I have this dream of being able to completely support myself when I am old without working til I die. I read all these financial advice books so I can get as much input as possible to my highest possible gains on the money I have. I try my best to make my money work for me in every way. When I picked this book I didn’t realize it was so heavily geared toward real estate investing, but that is okay because I do want to get into investing in real estate anyway so I found this book really offered some value and information for me. “This book touches on a lot of good concepts that I was already familiar with. Basically, that being as debt-free as possible is the key to retirement/financial freedom. The focus of the book is specific to Real Estate investment, which the title did not make clear. I also found the “risk disclaimer” that basically said that this book “should not be taken as financial advice of any kind” rather counterintuitive since it’s written specifically as an educational form of advice regarding finances. That said, much of the advice is very sound. The author emphasizes the importance of changing the way that you think of money and how it works (in terms of building a retirement fund). I do like that the author shows how he came from a poor, working-class family and was able to achieve the goals; however, I disagreed with the assertion that “buying properties is very easy”. Overall, the book featured some good concepts for real estate investment, but I’m just not sure if its for me.” – Kat Denning
