Myriam Beatove succeeds LeighAnne Baker as Cargill’s chief human resources officer

Myriam Beatove will become Cargill’s new chief human resources officer, effective June 1, succeeding LeighAnne Baker, who has served in that capacity since 2014. She will be a member of Cargill’s Executive Team and report to Chairman and CEO Dave MacLennan.

From finance to strategy to HR, Myriam is a seasoned business leader who brings more than 25 years of global experience in strategy development and implementation, leading people and change, as well as driving large-scale transformations.

Since joining Cargill in 2009, Myriam has led significant elements of HR’s transformation, including establishing Cargill’s global HR service delivery organization. In her current role, she’s brought a valuable combination of strategy and simplification to reinventing Cargill’s approach to how we reward employees’ contributions through pay and benefits. Prior to joining Cargill, she held leadership roles at Accenture and AB InBev for 15 years.

“I first met Myriam 10 years ago in a Cargill leadership development program and have since watched her deliver on every challenge put in front of her. I know that she will do the same in this role,” said Dave MacLennan, Cargill’s chairman and CEO.  “She is a critical partner for me driving the people and culture strategies that will enable us to deliver on our growth objectives.”

Since joining Cargill in 2014, LeighAnne and her team have transformed the company’s human resources operations into a more efficient, integrated global function. With new technologies, better end-to-end processes, and improved data discipline, LeighAnne managed costs while never compromising results or service. Her leadership also accelerated Cargill’s progress on inclusion and diversity, overhauled its leadership expectations, and advanced the company’s culture.
