Windows Vista compatible product line now offers consumers both wired and wireless options

Las Vegas, Nev., CES Booth # 35635, South Hall 4–January 8, 2007 – Avid Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVID), today announced that its consumer division, Pinnacle Systems, Inc., has expanded the Pinnacle PCTV™ To Go product line to include two new versions, Pinnacle PCTV To Go HD Wireless and Pinnacle PCTV To Go HD. Both offer high definition (HD) and standard definition (SD) television viewing and Windows Vista™ readiness, allowing consumers to enjoy their entertainment systems from any location in the home or around the world.

The Pinnacle PCTV To Go family enables personal computers to function as full-featured televisions and personal video recorders. Using PCTV To Go Products, consumers can watch full resolution, DVD-like quality in MPEG-2 on any PC in the home, or watch high quality MPEG-4 media on a remote PC, with nothing more than a simple Internet connection. In addition, the Pinnacle PCTV To Go products are designed to plug quickly into existing entertainment systems with little to no reconfiguring necessary. Consumers can have full control of their media choices through the television programming guide and comprehensive personal video recorder capabilities, without incurring any additional service fees.

“Whether using the wired or wireless versions of Pinnacle’s PCTV To Go products, consumers can have an amazing TV viewing experience from their Media Center PCs,” said Jeff Hastings, Avid vice president and Pinnacle Systems general manager. “Because the Pinnacle PCTV To Go products will work with the current version of Windows Media Center and with the forthcoming Windows Vista operating system, they are perfect companions to today’s Windows Media Center systems – and those that will run on Vista in the future.”

The Pinnacle PCTV To Go product line is the result of a technology agreement between Pinnacle Systems and Monsoon Multimedia, Inc. The two companies have been collaborating to deliver the power of television to personal computers anytime, anywhere.
