Michael E. Oppitz lives in Anchorage, Alaska with his loving wife, Laura. They spend most of their days and weekend trips travelling all over the state. His hobbies include fishing, camping, archery, writing, wildlife viewing, and birding. The adventures and travels he had gone to inspired him to write his coming-of-age book, “River Rat.”

Aside from being a writer, Michael is also a mason and is involved in the local Shrine Temple, Al Aska.
