BRF, one of the largest food companies in the world, launches the BrfHub platform, the company’s connection channel with the open innovation ecosystem of Brazil and the world.

With registrations until May 31, the innovation area has a team of specialists responsible for contacting and selecting participants, in addition to managing selected projects.

BrfHub has steps for selecting partners, which includes a pitch day, an immersion week, the pilot project itself and the presentation of results. Those selected may receive a proposal to integrate the technology into the BRF chain.

“BRFHub was born and exists to unite different innovative agents for the same purpose. This year, we launched the new version of the platform, to integrate ideas that can be applied in our living, long and complex chain. We are looking for solutions for agribusiness, integrated producers, factories, warehouses, logistics. Everything from the field to the consumer’s table ”, says Sergio Pinto, BRF’s Innovation Director.

BRF expects to receive proposals for solutions from startups, scale-ups, academic spin-offs and other similar profiles. All entries must offer innovative ideas applicable to BRF challenges. The most varied types of entrepreneurial teams are expected, especially those with specialists in their respective area of knowledge.

Registration for the challenges is free and any travel costs for participation in the face-to-face phases may be covered by BRF. The new partners will receive mentoring to carry out their pilot project and will have the support of specialists from the Company, in addition to using the necessary resources.

“At BRF, we go beyond connecting with startups. We want to get closer to researchers with an entrepreneurial profile, whether from universities or research institutions. We are looking for opportunities that allow the exchange of knowledge between academia and the private sector, science and the market ”, concludes Sergio Pinto.
