FrieslandCampina dairy farmers keep their heads high and go for it!

“I am proud that we, as farmers, have an important profession and produce healthy food,” says Ardy de Goeij, one of our member dairy farmers. The current corona virus (COVID-19) crisis makes him feel that his work is extra valued. This also applies to member dairy farmers Sander and Patricia van der Gun: “As a farmer, you are now one of the most important players. We keep our heads high and we go for it.” We visited Ardy, Sander and Patricia to talk about their work in the current exceptional time. Like all other FrieslandCampina member dairy farmers, they received a bunch of tulips to thank them for their indispensable effort.

Tulips for all member dairy farmers
With this tulips campaign FrieslandCampina wants to show support to all its member dairy farmers. The world around us has changed, but one thing remains the same: our member dairy farmers continue to supply the best milk to the Netherlands and to the world day after day. They do that with great dedication, some creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.

“Milk is gold, especially in times when healthy food is so important,” says Frans Keurentjes, chairman of Zuivelcoöperatie FrieslandCampina U.A.. “We have been working together in our cooperative for almost 150 years and we are showing this strength again. I am incredibly proud of that! By sending all member dairy farmers a bunch of tulips, we want to show them that we support them in these difficult times. I greatly appreciate the commitment of our members and would like to convey our gratitude on behalf of all FrieslandCampina in this way.”
