We have adopted new measures on platforms to prevent the new coronavirus

WEBWIRE

We have enhanced the work schedule, adopted a pre-boarding quarantine period, and reduced the operational staff at our offshore units.

As previously reported, Petrobras has been continuously monitoring the global health situation resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic and adopting measures to protect its employees (own and outsourced), in addition to preventing dissemination in the regions where it operates. Over and above the measures already adopted - such as intensifying teleworking for administrative activities, monitoring suspicious cases, and undertaking preventive actions pre-boarding - the company will immediately take actions to safely reduce personnel and adjust the work schedule at its offshore units. Such actions are:

- Staff reduced to the minimum necessary on offshore units, with security guaranteed.
- Special stopover for teams that will continue to board, considering 7 days of prior isolation in a hotel provided by Petrobras, 21 days on board, and 14 days off work.
There will be no loss to the workers’ remuneration. Everyone will receive wages normally, including those not called for boarding; those who have had their shifts extended will get payment for overtime, including the isolation period.
These measures will reduce the movement of people, shift changes, and the number of flights to platforms, thus reducing exposure to the risk of contagion.
The company is in contact with unions and government authorities and re-evaluates the adoption of new measures on a daily basis. Get to know other initiatives already adopted:
- We have intensified teleworking for all activities that can be carried out remotely. All people in the risk group, in any activity, are also teleworking. We have advised our service providers to take the same steps.
- At the boarding places, everyone’s temperature is being checked, anamneses are carried out, and health guidelines reinforced. If any employee on board comes up with symptoms, he or she will be immediately disembarked and everyone who had close contact with such person monitored.
- People returning from trips abroad, whether on business or on vacation, will be quarantined, undertaking home office activities.
- We have suspended all trips abroad. In Brazil, we maintain only those who are strictly necessary, with all prior care and health guidelines.
- We have suspended face-to-face events and meetings with more than 20 people and intensified online meetings.
- We have intensified cleaning routines, the provision of health care and guidelines for employees so that all preventive measures are taken.
These preventive initiatives are in line with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health and aim to contribute to the efforts of the entire population and of the authorities to mitigate risks, reduce circulation in public spaces, and keep people in their homes.
