A Haunting Legend on a Christmas Eve

In today’s age, children identify right away that legends and myths are simply made-up stories. However, some of these legends are crafted beautifully that some people believe that they wring a grain of truth – so much so that children’s imagination can’t resist the lure of curiosity.

“Josh and the Skeleton” is a Skip Ashworth creation that centers on a horrific Cheyenne legend. A children’s read that with a touch of horror, the literary work creates a sense of intrigue which keeps the young readers at the edge of their seats.

The story starts with Josh who stumbles upon a skeleton inside an old pick-up truck on a snowy Christmas Eve in Oklahoma. His dog, Flash, witnesses the said skeleton so the dog barked in fear and sprinted towards the truck that is coated with snow.

Memories of the boy’s Grandpa, who resides now in heavenly abode, comes to his mind and he is reminded of the Cheyenne legend. Josh’s grandpa always has always told him of the legends but he thought of it as nothing but mere stories like most of the adults do.

Omens have presented themselves and Josh was at loss for words and rationality seems to have abandoned him in a moment. A daring adventure has just begun.

How will Josh confront this overwhelming legend that has become a reality? Is this reality as twisted as he imagines it to be? Find out how the story unfolds in “Josh and the Skeleton” – now available for purchase on Amazon books.
