Scott Rahn’s book “The Book of It” will be exhibited by ReadersMagnet at the BookExpo New Title Showcase.

“The Book of It” is a wide-ranging compilation of essays touching upon history, philosophy, religion, literature, and more, certain to provoke discussion and debate. It is the culmination of his intense study of the aforementioned subjects – and his attempt to prove or disprove what people have believed through time.

“I was also both blessed and cursed with just curiosity about almost everything,” said the author during his appearance on the syndicated radio program This Week in America with Ric Bratton, “so I’ve always studied and I read during most of my life history, science, philosophy, literature… just reading and studying.”

When asked to explain the rationale behind the title of his book, Rahn said, “It’s just a nickname. There’s not really a name for it. I found it in the tapestry of history. There are things that happen and things that happen again or things that happen at exactly the right time. It makes a person wonder if that’s always by accident.

“I did search for a name for it or even a party responsible but I also started calling it ‘It’ because of statements like ‘There it is, there it is,’ ‘What is it?’ ‘Does it really exist?’ ‘Why is it hidden away?’ ‘Who was responsible for it?’… I kept calling it “It” and so It just became its name.”

The author hopes that his readers will open their mind to the possibilities out there, things they weren’t taught in school or given the chance to see. He exhorts them to not believe everything but “read some books, study a little bit, and prove or disprove for themselves rather than just believe something they were told.”
