Altair Selected to be Official Simulation-Driven Innovation Partner of CWIEME Berlin 2020

For the third consecutive year, alliance underlines value in Altair’s simulation-driven design expertise at world-renowned electric motor and transformer manufacturing event

Altair (Nasdaq: ALTR), a global technology company that provides solutions in product development, high-performance computing (HPC), and data analytics, and the organizers of CWIEME Berlin, the world’s largest event dedicated to electric motor and transformer manufacturing, have signed an agreement establishing Altair as CWIEME Berlin’s official simulation-driven innovation partner for the third consecutive year. As the most important event in the electrical manufacturing industry, CWIEME has been leading the global electrical engineering revolution for over a quarter of a century. The event in Berlin will celebrate 25 years of industry excellence on May 26-28, 2020 at Messe Berlin.

Being the official partner, Altair will give a keynote presentation at the CWIEME e-mobility stage, dedicated to simulation-driven development for e-mobility. Altair will also host a dedicated technical session with presentations from customers and Altair experts on the central stage. The presentations will provide deep insights into simulation-driven design and state-of-the art product development of electric products, including e-motors and transformers. Subsequent to their presentations featuring multiphysics simulation, low frequency electromagnetic (EM) motor design solutions, and thermal and structural simulation, Altair experts will be available for one-on-one meetings during “Meet the Speaker,” a new networking opportunity at the event to enable more detailed talks about new products, innovations, industry trends, speaker presentations and more.

In addition to contributing to the CWIEME agenda, Altair will showcase practical use cases enabled by simulation-driven design. These will include exhibition pieces featuring e-mobility, electric motor, multiphysics, and system simulation at booth D22 in hall 2.2. Booth highlights will include SPIN Applicazioni Magnetiche’s e-motor and the award-winning motor of the startup Dynamic E Flow. Prior to the event, Altair will provide relevant educational content via the CWIEME Knowledge Hub and host a specialized webinar on electric motor development, jointly presented with Spin and CWIEME Berlin.
