Karma Sauce Remains Resolute Despite Lack of Available Space in Trophy Room

The Ever-Increasing Pile of Accolades Has Sent The Hot Sauce Company Scrambling.

“If you look at the complete list, they have something like 95 awards. You could easily just find a larger display case…I really don’t understand why this is being made into an issue...”

When it became clear that Karma Sauce would shatter its previous record for award wins at Zestfest 2020, it should have been cause for celebration for CEO Gene Olczak and his team.

But as the trophies and ribbons continued to accrue, murmurs of concern began to cut through the jovial atmosphere. “We’ve been struggling for a while now to find the necessary storage space to keep all these awards” Gene explained “and while we’re honored by the reception we’ve received at Zestfest, this only makes things more difficult”.

By the end of the evening, Karma Sauce managed to show a winning hand in every temperature category (mild, medium, hot, x-hot, ultra hot), and amongst the flurry of awards stood 6 first-place Golden Chiles “which only eats up more room” Gene quipped. In the end, the company took home a whopping 24 awards from the exhibition, 10 more than it’s previous record haul.

The Karma Sauce Company has consulted with many storage experts on how to tackle their gold-plated dilemma. “The problem is that the pile of awards has gotten so dense that it more closely resembles a neutron star than a collection of household artifacts,” says Dr. Otto Palindrome of the Advanced Space Management Institute. “Have you ever tried to fit a neutron star in storage? Not so easy.”

Other experts disagree with this professional assessment, including Dave from Discount Storage in downtown Rochester. “If you look at the complete list, they have something like 95 awards. You could easily just find a larger display case…I really don’t understand why this is being made into an issue. Is this some kind of goof?”

Despite the inconclusive feedback from leading earthbound professionals, the Karma Sauce company is optimistic about finding a solution. “We’re in contact with NASA about launching our trophy pile into orbit, and so far it sounds promising” claims sales director Don Maxwell. “In the end, it’s all about the sauce, and if the biggest problem with our sauces is this dense cluster of awards that are fracturing space-time, well, then we’re doing okay”.

Karma Sauce began its storied run as one of the winningest small-batch condiment brands in 2012. It has since earned 96 awards including 25 Golden Chiles and multiple “Best of the Best” awards. The brand gained national recognition in 2017 when its Extreme Karma Sauce landed on season five of the YouTube series Hot Ones. Karma Sauce returned for the “All-Star” Season 10 of Hot Ones with Burn After Eating, a scaldingly hot hot sauce made specifically for the show.

Karma Sauce is also the exclusive manufacturer of the Hot Ones-branded sauces Los Calientes and Los Calientes Rojo. Karma Sauce owner/founder Gene Olczak collaborated on the recipe with HEATONIST founders Noah Chaimberg and Tyler McKusick, the sauce curators for Hot Ones.

Karma Sauce specializes in handcrafting minimally processed sauces in small batches from the highest quality ingredients. Karma Sauce grows hot and super hot peppers, tomatoes, and tomatillos on Burning Springs Farm in Bristol, NY. Everything grown on that farm is processed and filled by hand at the Karma Sauce factory in downtown Rochester, NY. For more information, please visit karmasauce.com.
