Bernie L. Calaway Guides Readers Through the Olivet Discourse in His Book “Oracles from Olivet”

Bernie L. Calaway is not done helping Bible readers navigate and untangle the complexities of biblical prophecies. After dissecting the Book of Daniel in “Discernment from Daniel” and the Book of Revelation in “Revelation for Regular Readers,” he turns his attention toward the Olivet Discourse in “Oracles from Olivet: The Eschatological Jesus.”
 
Recorded in the Gospel of Matthew and also found in the gospels of Mark and Luke, the Olivet Discourse refers to the teaching Jesus gave about the future (the end times) on the Mount of Olives.
 
“The best source for end-of-the-world events and actions has to be the last sermon or lesson He (Jesus) explained from the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem,” the author said. “His discourse from Mt. Olivet, near Jerusalem, was the final and most detailed revelation given during His earthly ministry.”

Author Bio

Bernie L. Calaway is a retired Navy chaplain, biblical scholar, pastor, teacher, counselor, prolific writer, and poet. He is a native Texan who soon learned he was a better minister than farmer. He holds a BA degree in English and Religion with a minor in History from Baylor University and a Masters of Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He lives in the North Carolina mountains where he churns out words and chases squirrels off the back stoop. His other books are “One hundred one Fun Fables,” “Revealing the Revelation,” “Revelation for Regular Readers,” “Operation Revelation: A Teen’s Script for Earth’s Final Curtain” (with co-author Jan Ledford), and “Oracles from Olivet: The Eschatological Jesus.”  Aside from that he also have his newest book which has 5 volumes of “History and Mystery: The Complete Eschatological Encyclopedia of Prophecy, Apocalypticism, Mythos, and Worldwide Dynamic Theology.”
