Mitsubishi Motors announces completion of five new U.S. dealerships under global design program

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) announced the completion of construction on five new dealership facilities in the U.S. as part of its new global dealer Visual Identity Program.

The five Mitsubishi dealerships listed below join Lewisville Autoplex Mitsubishi in Lewisville, Texas as the newest renovated facilities designed and opened under Mitsubishi Motors’ new corporate Visual Identity Program. The program points to the modernization and reinvention of the brand through distinctive design language.

  • Fairway Mitsubishi in Virginia Beach, Va.
  • Jake Sweeney Mitsubishi in Cincinnati, Ohio
  • Luther Brookdale Mitsubishi in Brooklyn Center, Minn.
  • Napleton Mitsubishi in Springfield, Mo.
  • Viva Mitsubishi in El Paso, Texas

Napleton Mitsubishi is a new from-the-ground-up build, while the remaining stores executed comprehensive renovations of their existing structures to align their stores with the new era of the Mitsubishi Motors retail experience.

The Visual Identity Program will enhance customers’ experience in a high-quality retail environment, working in concert with the brand’s “Drive your Ambition” brand message to engage and inspire customers across all Mitsubishi retail stores. The main color palette is cool and muted, with black, gray and red accents that match Mitsubishi Motors’ brand colors. The toolkit also includes a signature architectural feature, known as the “Dynamic Slope,” on the outside of each building, along with clean branding throughout the showroom and service waiting areas to tell a consistent, upscale brand story.

The intent is for every updated store to be open, inviting and welcoming, all to ensure the highest quality of interactions throughout a customer’s journey, from purchase to service to trade-in and repurchase.

“These five brand new and updated stores demonstrate the commitment and dedication our dealer partners have to the Mitsubishi Motors brand,” said Mark Chaffin, Chief Operating Officer, MMNA. “While they operate independently, they have chosen to make an investment in the continuing reinvention of the Mitsubishi brand and business in the U.S., and together, we’re building on the strength of six consecutive years of sales growth and poised for a seventh. As we ready the retail experience for the arrival of a host of new and refreshed vehicles, there’s never been a better time to be a Mitsubishi Motors dealer partner.”

These new retail facilities across the U.S. are the latest in tangible examples of the ongoing plan to rejuvenate every aspect of Mitsubishi Motors and its operations in the U.S., from corporate leadership to dealer partners to each touchpoint in a customer’s relationship with their vehicle.

Mitsubishi Motors’ Visual Identity Program is on course to introduce an updated exterior and interior design to approximately 5,000 dealerships worldwide. There are more than 91 dealerships across the U.S. currently enrolled in this program, with additional construction planned or underway at 8 dealerships as of early 2020.
