Jamie Anderson, Sage Kotsenburg Crowned Riders of The Year

WEBWIRE

Jamie Anderson is having the best month ever. Period. But she isn’t the only GoPro Athlete puttin’ on the Ritz and celebrating some new awards. At the first annual Snowboarder Awards this past weekend in Copper Mountain, Jamie and Sage Kotsenburg were crowned Female and Male Rider of the Year, respectively.

And the night didn’t wrap there for Sage. He went on to be named the Most Valuable Video Player for his riding in “Joy.” The movie, released in Fall 2019, “tracks the riding, the chase and the dreams” of Sage, Red Gerard, Ben Ferguson and friends—all-star crew to say the least.

If you haven’t watch “Joy” yet, you’re missing out on Movie of the Year. That’s right, the flick snagged its own Snowboarder Award, bringing Sage’s total award count to three. You can catch his joyful riding in the video below.

Jamie wasn’t done yet either. Her Female Rider of the Year Award came just one sleep before she would continue her slopestyle sweep; this time at the Dew Tour Finals. She locked in a 92.66 to take first in the finals, beating out Miyabi Onitsuka (91.66) and Anna Gasser (88.00). This brings Jamie’s Dew Tour win count to 11.

Massive congrats to both these legends. We can’t wait to see what the rest of snow season (and the year) has in store for you both.
