Linda Jones Turner’s Passionate Memoir, a Recollection of Life in Franklin County

Castalia NC, USA – WEBWIRE

Life in the past is made beautiful through its simplicity. It was the early stages of technological advancements. Linda Jones Turner pens her book, “Franklin County Memories,” for the present to have a glimpse of the joy she enjoyed then.

The author grew up in Franklin County, North Carolina, and spent her younger years up in a little church on a hill. It was an astounding blessing to grow up in such a wondrous place that is founded on God’s love and promises. Though life is hard, people back then lived and wrestled with life by standing firm in their faith in God. No matter what life brings, they always believe that “God will make a way.”

Aside from being close to God, Linda also recounts how the relationship between the children and the old folks was. Accordingly, if someone does something wrong, not only did they get whipped by old folks, but they get another one from their parents — the beauty of living in a community that cares for each other.

This will be a light read, but it will be a powerful one. It will bring nostalgia to the older readers and insight to the younger ones. A story of a person’s life, along with her community who made it through their faith, this work is not one to miss. Believers and non-believers of Christ will come face to face with God and join the Franklin County in following His footsteps and creating a brighter, and harmonious world, all founded in His glory, for the future generations to come.

About the Author

Linda Jones Turner was born in Franklin County, North Carolina in the year 1954. Growing up, she didn’t have a glamorous life. She spent years farming, along with her parents, Willie and Pollie Jones, who were both farmers. For ten years, she served the U.S.A.F.

She is a mother of two fine, and handsome men, Winston and Brandon, that inspire her to write, especially Brandon who writes poetry. She also plays the piano, keyboard, and organ—a God-given talent of hers which she is immensely grateful of. This very talent of hers is cultivated towards serving and playing for five church choirs, some of which are in that little church on a hill.

“God is the Master of my fate, and He is the Captain of my soul!” -Linda Jones Turner
