One of the most important gaming conferences in the world, ICE London, is currently taking place and has drawn participation from the leaders of gaming companies from across the globe. The three-day event got underway yesterday, February 4, and will wrap up tomorrow, and Latin American gaming leader Betcris is on hand to help shape global gaming. Additionally, the company was a proud sponsor of the Latin American roundtables for the World Regulatory Briefing (WRB), which were held yesterday.

These roundtables were held to cover several Latin American countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru. In working with the nascent gambling industry in Brazil, Betcris CEO JD Duarte met with Luiz Felipe Maia, a founding partner of FYMSA Advogados and Bruno Omori, President, Brazilian Association of Hotels - State of Sao Paulo to discuss the future of the local gaming industry.

This was one of the main events during ICE London designed to focus mainly on the potential issues that the current global policies can signify. It also covered regulatory updates around the world and all new jurisdictions that can potentially redefine the future of gaming.

“Brazil is one of the most attractive markets currently in Latin America and, with the work that the government is doing to regulate the industry, it ensures that players can have safe and fair game options, and Betcris wants to be one of those options in where Brazilian players can bet and have fun safely and transparently. That is why this event is so important, it presents us with an enormous opportunity to approach key people in this market,” explains Duarte.

During the first day of the event, Duarte and Fernando Garita, Head of Business Development for Betcris, connected with key people in the industry from around the world and shared past experiences at these events. Among these contacts were members of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (PAGCOR), which manages the gaming industry and certain state-run casinos in the Philippines. The Betcris executives had an opportunity to talk about gaming with the entity’s chair and CEO, Andrea Domingo, and its Director of Operations, Gabriel Claudio, to share ideas on how to help the industry evolve.

Duarte and Garita also had a chance to meet with Alan Burak, partner and Vice President at Monografie, the company behind gaming-related events and conferences such as the South American Gaming Suppliers Expo (SAGSE) in Argentina and SAGSE+, events held in other countries in Latin America.  Burak is also the founder of GET in Global, a company dedicated to evolving the global gaming industry, and an ambassador for SiGMA in Latin America.
