About the Author
Eleanor Gaccetta is a Colorado native who grew up in a small farming community just outside Denver. After graduating high school she worked for the State of Colorado for 3 ˝ years serving her last seven years as a legislative analyst for the Departments of Human Services and Medicaid. Working full time and armed with perseverance she obtained both Bachelor and Master’s degrees from Regis University. After leaving State employment, she worked for the City and County of Broomfield as a policy analyst for 7 years then returned to the State as a private contractor. She was forced to end a nearly 40 year career to care for her mother when she broke her hip at age 93. Armed with faith, humor and love she was able to navigate a full time caregiving journey until her mother’s death age 102. She currently lives in Arvada, a suburb west of Denver and enjoys cooking, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
