Author Don Stackpole pens an inspiring book titled “Broken Hearts…Mended,” chronicling his bumpy upbringing

Recent release “Broken Hearts…Mended” from Newman Springs Publishing author Don Stackpole is a hopeful outlook for those who have been raised by a drunkard and suffered through their childhood, even into their adult lives; it is the story of the author’s struggle in overcoming his upbringing by an alcoholic.
 
Every generation has felt the sting of parental alcohol abuse. Our numbers are staggeringly high. Only God can possibly know to what extent lives have been changed for the worse by the scourge that alcohol has become. Anyone who has ever lived in the shadow of a drunkard knows the hurt and humiliation that comes with having done so. About the Author
 
Don Stackpole was raised in Mill Valley, California. He attended Mississippi State University in the early 70’s. Upon moving back to California, he drove a delivery truck for RC Cola for three years and then for a major beer company for the final three years of the 70’s. In 1979 Stackpole received The Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. One year after that, God called him to preach. He attended and graduated from Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College (now Heartland Baptist Bible College).

In 1991 his family and he moved to the Jicarilla Apache reservation in Dulce, NM where he was the pastor of Good News Baptist Church and principal of Good News Christian Academy for six years.

In 2001, Stackpole accepted the call to be the pastor at Aztec Baptist Church in Aztec, NM where he served for ten years. He is now serving in what will be his final pastorate in Williston, N. Dakota.
