HBIS Chairman Met Tenova CEO Roberto Pancaldi

HBIS CCP & Group Chairman Yu Yong met Tenova CEO Roberto Pancaldi in Castellanza, Milan Italy and agreed to strengthen their cooperation in applications of new metallurgical technologies and sustainable green development. HBIS Vice President Liu Jian was also in the meeting.

Yu Yong said HBIS and Tenova had been working well for a long time. Tenova is an very important partner of HBIS providing high quality equipment and technology services. HBIS hopes to deepen their cooperation in green manufacturing, intelligent manufacturing and low carbon development. In new technology  business, they should estalibsh a regular communicatioin mechanism and strive to lead the innovation and reform of traditional steel making technologies to make the industry green and sustainable.

Mr.Pancaldi welcomed Mr.Yu Yong and said Tenova has been dedicated to the green and clean growth of the world’s steel industry. HBIS is an important partner of the group. Tenova is willing to deepen its coopeartion with HBIS and make steel industry greener. 

In the meeting, Tenova teams introduced their DRI and electric furnace technologies.Tenova is using hydrogen to make DRI and adopting short process electric furnace to replace the traditional low process steel making technologies to reduce the carbon emission. LOI Thermprocess GmbH technisians, a 100% subsidiary of Tenova, later made a presentation of Full Processing Heat Treatment and Heating Furnace Technologies.
