Scrap Chic Boutique (SCB), a new scrapbook and paper crafting store located in Decatur, Georgia, values the art of remembering. The owners are dedicated to the tradition of preserving memories while being on the cutting edge of design style and products. Scrapbooking is about the timeless tradition of capturing life’s moments in creative and unique ways. Every scrapbooker, or memory artist as they called at SCB, creates a personalized treasure of memories. Scrapbooking is about SCB…sharing, connecting, and building memories. Scrap Chic Boutique allows its customers to experience the art of remembering right in the store; tables are provided for scrapbooking artists to work at their leisure. Also, there is an “art bar” for customers to experiment with new hardware, get design input, and learn about other paper crafting projects. Customers will have an opportunity to participate in a variety of classes for beginners through experienced memory artists. Scrap Chic Boutique will work with its customers to offer experiences for groups or individuals who want to work on scrapbooking or paper crafting projects.

Their work has been featured on ScrapJazz.com as layout of the day and as artist of the week. One of the owners, Tonya, was on the Design Team at ScrapEtc in Birmingham, AL. The layout of the store lets the customers take their time and have space to browse the products, imagine the possibilities, and arrange combinations that fit their creative interests.

Scrap Chic Boutique is owned by four women who began scrapbooking three years ago while they were teaching together at an Atlanta charter school. As special education teachers, they enjoyed using the art of remembering as a stress reliever. As mothers, they enjoyed creating memory art which they could share with one another. Each one has a different style and taste in their artwork which is reflected in the inventory carried in the store; this variety will attract every style and level of scrapbooker.
