“Nice Guy” Tom Hanks Accepts Cecil B. DeMille Award, Proving That Having Integrity & Good Character Pays Off

Hollywood’s “Nice Guy,” Tom Hanks, accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes on Sunday. The actor, whose reputation for being kind to fellow colleagues, fans and his fellow man, credits his success to his family’s support and a strong work ethic.

Hanks, who portrayed television icon and fellow “nice guy” Fred Rogers in his latest movie, proves that respect, integrity and kindness continue to be qualities people admire, respect, and aspire to.

“In a world where some of the worst behavior is often glorified in the media, parents and teachers frequently struggle to find exemplary models of good character to hold up to children. It’s heartwarming to see people like Hanks and Rogers, who exemplify kindness, respect, and decency coming into the forefront and being recognized, not only for their body of work but for their character as well,” says Peggy D.
