Make Holidays Happier through Music

Aside from gifts and decorations, Christmas is a time known for jolly holiday music. Songwriter, musician, and teacher Alexander Ceruzzi adds his own festive tunes in “Christmas Holiday: CD and Song Book.”
 
The book and CD combination comes exactly as advertised. Its pages contain the lyrics of 8 original Christmas songs, which are stored in the CD. The charming illustrations surrounding the pages are added to add beauty and give extra meaning to each song’s themes, which revolve around the facets of the holiday season.  
 
Each song has a story to tell. “Dear Santa Claus” in particular has a touching one. The track shares a tale of a young child who is inspired to do an act of generosity after realizing an important lesson. After writing a wish for himself to Santa, he changes his mind and asks Santa to give his toys to less fortunate children instead.
 
As a songwriter and musician, Ceruzzi knows how powerful music can be. He hopes everyone can enjoy the holidays even more through his original music. Critics have certainly recognized his work, as one of the songs, “Christmas Holiday,” bagged a Song of the Year award in 2014.

About the Author
Alexander Ceruzzi obtained his bachelor and master’s degree in music education from Eastern Kentucky University. He began his foray to music at 4 years old by taking accordion lessons. He also taught vocal lessons and instrumental music to high school students in Iowa and Illinois.
