“Enjoy great food recipes and entertaining stories with Anita Legsdin’s mouthwateringly immersive book.”

For the home-cook and author Anita Legsdin, nothing bonds people heartily like food. If one person asks the other what his favorite is, he will receive quite an ear full before he has a plate full. That is why Legsdin collected stories involving food and memories associated with a number of dishes through her book “Remembrance of Meals Past.” Republished by ReadersMagnet and featured at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books last April, Legsdin’s book is based on the interesting events from her life. Names have been modified and fictional events are supplemented to hide and shield the identities of other persons in her story. The contents in the book are also divided into smaller novellas. A handful of those are utter fantasy while all others encompass a grain of truth in them. An instance is Legsdin’s revelation in one of the novellas wherein her maternal grandmother served as a head chef for Pavlova, the Russian ballerina. That story is absolutely astonishing!

Of course, readers will also be treated with Legsdin’s sumptuous recipes to complement their reading experience with appetizing dishes. Indeed, Legsdin’s work makes it a fantastic read for the people to share to their loved ones on their next meal.
