The Air France Foundation and Air France staff in Senegal celebrate Christmas with a special gift giving evant for childern together with the association "L’Ecole à l’Hôpital".

Every year, the association ‘l’École à l’Hôpital’ organizes a special Christmas gift giving event for children in hospital, a great opportunity for these youngsters to celebrate Christmas like everyone else. To make this possible, the Air France Foundation and staff from the Air France division in Senegal organized a special toy collection for the gift presentation event on 18 December at 3pm at Le Dantec Hospital.

THE FOUNDATION PLAYS SANTA

The Air France Foundation and staff from the Air France division in Senegal wanted to take part in this event by organizing a toy collection with Air France staff in Dakar. A special cabin crew, made up of Friends and Ambassadors of the Air France Foundation, will accompany the Foundation team to Dakar and will also take gifts for the sick children. On 18 December, these youngsters will then be able to meet Santa and enjoy a snack before unwrapping their gifts from Air France staff.

THE ASSOCIATION ‘L’ÉCOLE À L’HÔPITAL’

A recognized public-interest organization, the Senegalese association ‘L’École à l’Hôpital’, set up in 1967, provides educational activities and exercises to children in hospital which are appropriate to their age, level and state of health. It is made up entirely of volunteers who work in teams in various different hospitals. The teaching is “in line with official programmes under the guidance and responsibility of a qualified teacher accredited by the Public Welfare Department”. ‘L’École à l’Hôpital’ has its head office in Dakar, at Le Dantec Hospital, on large premises that also act as a library, where the activities take place. In this way, books can be borrowed by the young patients, or taken to children who can’t get around. The association is also present at the Main Hospital in Dakar, in Fann, as well as in Zinguichor.
