Foodwatch Petition: Danone reassures about the safety of its infant formulas

Paris – WEBWIRE

We understand that parents might have questions following the report published by Foodwatch on October 24th.

Parents’ number one priority is the health of their little ones – it’s our number one priority too.

We want to reassure all parents that all our baby formula products, including the specific Gallia* and Nutrilon* products mentioned in the Foodwatch report, are completely safe.

You can be confident in the safety of all our baby formula products because:

- We never use mineral oil in any of our recipes

- Furthermore, for several years now we have put in place strict quality monitoring programs that go beyond national regulations in order to prevent any contamination with mineral oil residues at any stage of our manufacturing process.

- We demand the same strict quality and safety control processes from all our suppliers. We also set strict technical specifications for our ingredient and packaging suppliers, who must prove that they meet our requirements in order to be approved as one of our suppliers

- All our baby formula products undergo over 600 quality and safety checks before release

Of course, we take any allegation regarding the safety of our products extremely seriously. As a result, we have asked an independent laboratory to re-test the products referred to in the Foodwatch report. Their results confirmed again that no mineral oil residues were found in these products.

We are available to answer any questions or concerns that parents may have.
