About the Author

Dorothy Slikker was only 13 years old when she realized her dream of becoming an artist. She was born on the 1st of December 1940. Growing up in Shafter CA, she started her art studies in the year 1976. She fell in love with painting and soon enough, she rose to prominence and became an art teacher of The Robert Method of Art. Later on, she became the TOP 60 International Contemporary and among the Top 100 of the World Wide Contemporary Masters. Living up to her title as a master artist, her works are known to be perfect, with methods involving the use of a soft orange under-layer and a black “study,” setting the shadows and mapping out the composition’s depth prior to rendering of the final image that creates a magnificent artwork only pure talents can muster.
