European Film Awards: And the Winner Is….

ANKICA JURIC TILIC! This year’s Eurimages Co-production Award, an award acknowledging the decisive role of co-productions in fostering international exchange, pays tribute to a woman’s contribution to the success of film co-production.

Co-founder of Kinorama, this Croatian producer benefits from an important filmography, including six co-productions supported by Eurimages. The Eurimages Co-production Award will be given to Ankica Jurić Tilić on Saturday 7 December 2019 during the European Film Awards ceremony. More information in the press release.

In addition, two films supported by Eurimages are among the first eight winners of the “European Film Awards” with the 2019 Sound Prize awarded to Eduardo Esquide, Nacho Royo-Villanova & Laurent Chassaigne for A Twelve-Year Night (ES, AR, FR) by Álvaro Brechner and the 2019 Visual Effects Prize awarded to Martin Ziebell, Sebastian Kaltmeyer, Néha Hirve, Jesper Brodersen & Torgeir Busch for the co-production About Endlessness (SE, DE, NO) by Roy Andersson.

Finally, and to close this year which celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Eurimages Fund, a conference entitled EURIMAGES TALKS - keynote and debate will follow the General Assembly of the EFA (European Film Academy) on Saturday 7 December at 11.30am in the presence of directors Ildiko Enyedi (HU) and Anca Damian (RO), producers Jonas Dornbach (DE) and Giorgos Karnavas (GR) and the director of the Rotterdam International Film Festival Bero Beyer (NL). This event, moderated by Wendy Mitchell, will also bring together the President of Eurimages, Mrs Catherine Trautmann, the Executive Director, Mr Roberto Olla and several members of the Eurimages team and Board of Management.
