Donald Ray Schwartz Spins a Captivating Story in “Hearts”

Maishe Rosstein is a seventy-year-old man. A triple bypass surgery brings him back to his past.
Recovering at home on his favorite chair, Maishe realizes he was vaguely conscious the whole time the surgery was taking place. He recalls the operating room—the bright lights, the sounds of the machines, and the soft chatter between the doctors. Above everything else, the surgery took Maishe back to his past.
“Hearts” is a captivating novel about a man and his trip back in time. Author Donald Ray Schwartz tells how Maishe goes back to the adventures of his youth, his days in service, his numerous affairs with different women, and how he finally found the love of his life.
