Net Insight delivers nationwide audio network to SRG, the public broadcaster in Switzerland

December 13, 2006 - Stockholm – SRG (SRG SSR idée suisse), Switzerland’s public broadcaster, has chosen Net Insight’s Nimbra platform for an audio network for audio contribution covering all Switzerland.

The network transports uncompressed Audio (AES/EBU) as well as compressed Audio. The initial network interconnects 9 studios (TV – and radio studios) located in the 6 main cities. The network build out will start first quarter 2007.

Net Insight’s Nimbra platform fully complies with SRG´s requirements for service migration, quality of service, flexibility and manageability. The new Nimbra network can easily scale with new services and to new locations.
