GAFM honours Takeshi Kito, Board Member of Fintech Association of Japan (FAJ)

Takeshi Kito, Board Member of Fintech Association of Japan (FAJ) is recently honoured by the Colorado, USA based Global Academy of Finance and Management(GAFM), an accredited global graduate society for management and finance with membership over 150 countries, by awarding the Certification - ‘Master Fintech Professional’ for his contributions towards Fintech sector.

He received the Certification from Rajkumar Kanagasingam, President, Fintech Association of Sri Lanka (FASL) and GAFM Representative in Sri Lanka and The Maldives, in the presence of Chia Hock Lai, President, Singapore Fintech Association (SFA) at ADB - SFA Global Fintech Night, which was held in conjunction with the Singapore Fintech Festival 2019, at 80RR Fintech Hub SG – Singapore’s FinTech Innovation Hub.

Takeshi is the fourth person to receive the certification after Professor Douglas W. Arner, the Kerry Holdings Professor in Law at the University of Hong Kong, who led the development of the world’s largest massive open online course (MOOC): Introduction to FinTech, launched on edX in May 2018, now with approximately 40,000 learners spanning every country in the world; Mirna Sleiman, Founder and CEO of Fintech Galaxy, the MENA region’s only digital crowdsourcing platform that empowers Fintech entrepreneurs and connects them with financial institutions, consultants, tech companies, mentors and investors both regionally and globally; and Do Van Long, CEO of Vietnam Blockchain Corporation and Regional Chief Strategy Officer at Infinity Blockchain Labs, which focus on expanding blockchain knowledge across Vietnam, in an effort to make Vietnam a Fintech hub. 

Takeshi is a board member of the Fintech Association of Japan (FAJ) and leads Capital Markets Committee and RegTech & SupTech Committee. FAJ is a Supporting Organization of the ‘Singapore Fintech Festival 2019’ along with SFA, FASL and a number of other institutions.

He sits on an advisory committee for the Government of Japan’s Regulatory Sandbox.

He is the Founder & CEO of Crowd Realty, a P2P Real Estate Equity crowdfunding marketplace. 

He worked for Merrill Lynch as an investment banker and has 5 years experience in capital markets and real estate securitization. Before joining Merrill Lynch, he worked at Boston Consulting Group. 

Takeshi is a recipient of the ‘Asia Fintech Leaders’ Award at the Singapore Fintech Awards 2019.
