Shravan Gupta Journey: It is a fact that summarizing a man like Shravan Gupta long journey to the top, in mere words, is quite impossible. It would not be justified. Although here is an attempt. He had a good upbringing by a family with a business background. From childhood itself, Mr. Shravan Gupta realized that he had a penchant for business. He had a brain that understood the ins and outs of the world of trade. After his graduation from Sri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, he went on to join the family business. The family business involved financial services for their company MGF, Motor and General Finance Ltd. Which was found in 1930. Joining it was a natural choice for him and something he knew he could understand and excel at.

In the year 1997, MGF group, the afore-mentioned family business diversified into the field of real estate. This decision was something that came very organically to Mr. Shravan Gupta. He always had an eye for good properties and trusted his instincts when it came to taking decisions regarding properties. He made the intelligent decision to convert this passion and instinct of his into a flourishing business. And lo and behold, the real estate division, called MGF Developments was a great success! The company created over 5 million square feet of retail space. This along with residential and commercial spaces and developed shopping malls including The Metropolitan, The Metropolis and Megacity Mall in Gurgaon, City Square and MGF Metropolitan Mall in Delhi and Jaipur.

This decision by Mr. Shravan Gupta changed the whole game of the mall business. People flocked to the mall to get the best shopping and eating experiences. Moreover, he made ‘Miraj Maximum’ which made the whole mall experience ten times better. Miraj Maximum from Miraj Entertainment truly remains the best movie-going experience in the NCR region. It came at a time when people wanted more than a regular movie theatre with mediocre snacks. Soon Miraj Maximum became synonymous with luxury. To this date, despite more and more movie experiences opening up, Miraj Maximum remains the best and the most loved by the people. In addition to this experience, the MGF Metropolis gave people the complete retail experience. Finest entertainment options, regular and specialty food outlets, and ample recreational options make the mall stand out from the rest.

Jump to a few years later, when he served as a non-executive director of motor and general finance, till March 2017. He took his family business to the kind of heights that nobody could have ever imagined. With that, he introduced new businesses that not only were tremendously successful but also got the right kind of attention from the people and the media. To this day, Mr. Shravan Gupta continues to shine in whatever he does and with that remains an inspiration for all the budding entrepreneurs out there who are just starting out.
