Desktop Includes Wealth Management Tools, Real-time Market Data, Back-Office Processing

New York, NY 12/12/2006- Thomson Financial, an operating unit of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC, TSX: TOC) and leading provider of information and technology solutions to the worldwide financial community, today announced the deployment of the Thomson ONE Wealth Management solution to Smith, Moore & Co., one of the oldest investment firms established west of the Mississippi, with headquarters in Clayton, Mo. and a branch in Jefferson City, Mo. With Thomson ONE Wealth Management on the desktop, Smith, Moore financial advisors will have full support for every facet of the wealth management process, including essential wealth management tools, real-time market data and back-office processing.

In addition, financial advisors at Smith, Moore will have access to Thomson Transaction Services (TTS), a comprehensive securities processing software package integrated within Thomson ONE.

TTS includes Thomson TTSLink which provides easy access to real-time account related client and security data and inventory offerings, order entry capabilities, and functionality supporting corporate actions, annuity and insurance products. Thomson TTSHost is at the core of TTS and is the single source for all back and front office applications, APIs and vendor feeds. The financial advisor will access data how and when they need it via the BLServer, making inquiries and updates to databases in TTSHost through an API.
