Innovation Africa 2019 Announces Numerous Confirmed Industry Partners

December 3rd-5th Accra-based Forum Connects Pioneers of Enterprise with Impassioned Policy-Makers to invigorate ICT in Sub-Saharan African Academia

London, UK – WEBWIRE

Anticipation builds, with but weeks to go before Innovation Africa 2019 commences in Accra, Ghana. Sharing in the heightened excitement are the organizing committee executive team-members behind Africa’s official, annual Ministerial summit, Brains Global, delighted to today announce the Forum participation of an elite yet diverse, international array of industry partners.

In the words of Brains Global Founder and CEO John Glassey, “…the participation of these globally-resonant industry partners showcases their unwavering commitment to pupil empowerment through innovative ICT access and ICT-driven solutions in the classroom; a dynamism to working with political leadership from across the continent’s emerging markets, collaborating to make the dreams offered up by the Fourth Industrial Revolution a Pan-African reality”.

Innovation Africa 2019 carries on the near-decade-long tradition of Brains Global in hosting high-level Forums designed to fuel, foster or further the foundation of strategic partnerships between global corporate enterprises and political decision makers. During the Forum in Accra, to be held on December 3rd-5th, public and private sector leaders will convene to discuss methodologies today critical in leveraging the prowess and potential of a rapidly digitizing and globalizing Sub Saharan African economy.

Confirmed global industry partners include however are not limited to the multinational imaging and optical products corporation Canon (a ‘Diamond’, Official Imaging and Digital Print Partner of Innovation Africa), the University of Cambridge, Education Development Trust, EPSON and internet-connected device manufacturers such as JP-Inspiring Knowledge and Adapt IT. In addition, many best-in-class ‘ed-tech’ solution providers such as Matific, CodeVision, LinkedIn Learning and CVTE will be among the enterprises in attendance.

Indeed Innovation Africa 2019 will be operating under the patronage of the Ghanaian Government, hosted by both the Ministry of Communications’ Honorable Ursula Owusu-Ekuful (MP) and Ministry of Education’s Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (MP). The Forum to be held under their steer is designed to provide industry partners with unrestricted opportunities to showcase their respective next-generation products, best in practice services and other potential solutions to peers in both the private sector and in governance.

Further and fresh off the success of MENA Innovation 2019’s ‘Young Innovators’ Special Session, Innovation Africa 2019 will similarly showcase a unique competition-formatted presentation, entitled ‘Ms. Geek Ghana’. The platform is offered and aimed at empowering girls between the ages of 13-25 in the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) and Science, Technologies, Engineering and Maths (STEM) arenas; contestants will submit a technology-based solution aimed at solving basic challenges faced in Ghana and/or Africa as a whole, then present their solutions before an esteemed panel on-site at the Forum. The top 10 finalists will be granted an international spotlight for partaking in the competition and the primary winner will be awarded prizes which include but are not limited to donations from established Forum participating partners, such as CANON’s innovative products.

John Glassey added that, “…the dynamism of the ‘Ms. Geek Ghana’ competition, coupled with the established yet innovative, pre-scheduled meetings-based format of the Forum together form what is fast-becoming a cohesive venue model with demonstrated, scalable success year on year. By convening hundreds of enthusiastic and invested members of industry, government and civil society leaders, Innovation Africa 2019 can and I believe will help to shape the ‘2.0’-driven public-private partnerships (PPP) embodying the continent’s future”.
