CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union Honors and Supports Women in October

CommonWealth One is raising money to support breast cancer research and treatment for women in Virginia this month.
 
In addition to member donations, CommonWealth One has set a team fundraising goal of $500 to support for the RMH Foundation for Breast Care and Treatment at the Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg.  The foundation supports Sentara RMH Medical Center and its patients, with 100% of donations directly benefitting patients and the community through equipment purchases and programming support.
                                              
To reach this team goal, CommonWealth One will have a team participating in the Race to Beat Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk in Harrisonburg, Virginia on Oct. 19. The Run/Walk draws thousands of participants every year and is one of the Harrisonburg community’s signature events. “Our team of members are excited to be able to help the RMH Foundation reach their goal of 1,000 walkers and $5,000 in donations,”  said Karyle Thornton, Chief Marketing Officer.
 
Individuals can join the Oct. 19 event by registering at https://runsignup.com/Race/VA/Harrisonburg/13thracetobeatbreastcancer. The registration fee is $25, with proceeds supporting the RMH Foundation and the hospital’s breast cancer detection, treatment and support programs.
