Write Away Your Feelings
How writing gives way to connecting with emotions

Art provides an escape for people who want to get away from dark places. Writing is no exception to this. Esther O’Neal pours out her innermost feelings in “Purple Blues.”
O’Neale’s book contains stories and poems she has been writing over the years. No two pieces are the same as each of them offers something different for the readers. Despite the variance in themes, every poem and story is deeply personal. As readers digest her pieces, they will find themselves pondering on their own feelings.
Writing allows people to tap into their emotions and give them a voice. By articulating thoughts into words, people can make sense of their feelings, especially in difficult times. Dr. Diana Raab can attest to this. “Through writing, we can get to the core of our emotions and remain healthy—emotionally, psychosocially and physically,” she writes in a Psychology Today article.
Let “Purple Blues” help you get in touch with your feelings. Copies of the poem and short story collection are sold in selected online bookstores.
