Sealand Americas wins 4 STEVIE® AWARDS in 2019 International Business Awards® Competition

Sealand Americas was named the winner of a Gold Stevie® Award in the “Management Team of the Year” category in the 16th Annual International Business Awards®.    The company won another 3 Silver Stevie® Awards for “Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program of the Year,” “Maverick of the Year” and “Innovator of the Year.”

Praised by judges for “having taken needed action to build a strong, sustainable future for the company, C-Suite members Craig Mygatt, Thiago Covre, Shane Sawyer, Todd Pigeon, Timothy Child and Torrey Becote did plenty of great things  to benefit customers, Sealanders, and communities”  and  “the management team of Sealand Americas certainly has worked as ONE to achieve desired results”.

Recognized for “his hallmark of never having abandoned his commitments,” Maverick CEO Craig Mygatt took an additional Silver Stevie® for his wholehearted commitment to open communication and inclusion of ideas from employees from all walks of life. The judges praised Craig for “using his set of experiences and skillsets to help people succeed,” further recognizing his “wonderful demonstration of having the right people in the right jobs to get the job done in a positive culture.”

”Innovator of the Year,“ Chief Line Officer, and Executive Sponsor of the company’s transformational community involvement program, Thiago Covre was commended for ”having the courage to trust and empower teams“ and his ”true leadership in enabling people’s strengths for a common goal.“ The judges commented on Thiago’s ”commitment and vision to see that by doing good in communities, one can inspire and develop employees, while he was simultaneously busy leading a significant part of the business.“

The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small - are eligible to submit nominations. The 2019 IBAs received entries from organizations in 74 nations and territories.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala awards banquet at the ANDAZ Hotel am Belvedere, Vienna, Austria on 19 October. 

A record total of more than 4,000 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted in 2019 for consideration. Stevie® Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 250 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process from May through early August.
