LinkedIn Business Momentum Highlights from Talent Connect

At LinkedIn Talent Connect conference in Dallas, TX, LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner shared an update on how we are serving our members and customers, and how we are working to accelerate the realization of our vision of creating economic opportunity for every professional.

In his keynote, Jeff shared some highlights of LinkedIn’s momentum over the past year: 

• 645 million members, an increase of 70 million from this time last year. More than 2 new members join LinkedIn every second. 

• 80 million members on LinkedIn are frontline and hourly workers, and their engagement is growing 3x faster than the rest of our member base. Additionally, half of the roughly 22 million jobs available on LinkedIn are frontline and hourly jobs.

• 30 billion member sessions in fiscal year 2019. This is an increase of 27 percent year-over-year and is driven by strong engagement with the LinkedIn feed, compelling original content and the growth of video on LinkedIn.

• 4+ million members were hired through LinkedIn in fiscal year 2019. This is an increase of 32 percent year-over-year and due in part to investments in AI that are helping to bring the most relevant jobs to our members and better prospect recommendations to recruiters. 

• We continue to invest in and earn our members’ trust. For the third year in a row, Business Insider’s Digital Trust Report named LinkedIn the most trusted social platform.

• 23 million LinkedIn learning seats, an increase of 29 percent year-over-year. Glint had more than 5 million employees engage with surveys in fiscal year 2019, an increase of 100% year-over-year. 

• Talent Insights is the fastest-growing SaaS business in the history of LinkedIn. The service, which was launched earlier this year, already has more than 1,300 customers.

• $6.8 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2019, an increase of 28 percent year-over-year.
