The Deed or the Deceit

It’s never what it seems.

There are two kinds of men in power: those who are evil and those who fight them. Never has it been more pronounced than in the world of international intelligence, where the lull of power is as strong as the need for peace and where a man can singlehandedly start a war.

“The Deed” is an action-packed part of the Mac Daniels series written by Gene Boffa. It centers on the rumor that a deed grants ownership of Hong Kong to the Brits. The catch, however, is that no one knows where to find this precious deed—that is, if it does exist.

Mac Daniels launches an investigation that takes him all over the world and brings him to the conclusion that things are never what they seem—not in high espionage, not in politics, and not in romance. Trust is indeed a rare commodity these days.

About the Author
Gene Boffa has traveled the world and had his share of adventures. Like Mac Daniels, Gene is an expert marksman and loves flying and boating, but that’s where the similarities end. Gene is married to Patricia, an accomplished painter, sculptor, and lawyer. They live in the small town of Green Brook, New Jersey, and have four grown children who often bring the grandchildren by to enjoy their summerhouse at the Jersey Shore.

When he is not writing, Gene is practicing law at Schumann Hanlon Margulies in New Jersey, where he is a partner specializing in transactional law.
