Christian book writer Frances Moore unveils her book in Mexico

The author reminds each Christian to balance spirituality and sexuality.

Author Frances Moore shares her brilliant ideas on Christian spirituality and how it should connect with a person’s sexuality in her book “The Peril of Silence: Confronting the Disregards for the Spirituality/Sexuality Connection” (Outskirts Press; 2016).

According to Moore, sex per se is not just an activity but God’s design for a powerfully, pleasurably private experience enjoyed between married couples. Everyone knows that sex committed outside of marriage is deemed immoral, and Moore offers wonderful insights where few resources only apply information on the connection between spirituality and sexuality.

Moore’s book is an interactive lecture style presentation that bridges the gap between “simply being more informed about linking spirituality and sexuality” to “planning purposely to do something with the information.” Moore uses her own story when more than twenty years ago it was revealed to her by the Holy Spirit that she had been a “closet prostitute” which held the writer in spiritual bondage. How she got out of her immorality is one of the most triumphant phases in her life. Moore is very grateful that God’s love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness saved her. Sharing her story is her way of ministering to others, especially women, from the danger of being silent and disregarding the connection between spirituality and sexuality.

Frances L. Moore is a retired librarian by profession and a teacher by training. She is also a mentor and certified Therapon Belief Therapist, and a life-long student of the Word of God by calling and spiritual giftedness. She leads the ladies in Bible studies, teaches the kids in Sunday school, and organizes and presents at workshops, retreats, and spiritual growth advances. Frances is a widower, a mother of an adult son, and a grandmother. She is a native of Vidalia and currently lives in New Orleans (both in Louisiana).
