Don’t miss Dr. Peter G. Justus’ book at the Sharjah International Book Fair 2019.

Dr. Peter G. Justus describes a personal experience that led to his formulation of an approach to life that results in feelings of true, deep happiness.  He shares his analysis of this epiphany and its effects on his philosophical views in the book “The Pursuit of the Personal Renaissance Experience: Finding Opportunities for Happiness in the Ever-Present Now” - Revised Edition 2019 (ReadersMagnet; 2019).

“The Pursuit of the Personal Renaissance Experience” will be exhibited at the 38th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) on October 30 to November 9, 2019 at the Expo Center Sharjah in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

First held in 1982, the Sharjah International Book Fair is one of the most important literary and cultural events in the Middle East and the Arab world; it is also the third-largest book fair in the world. Organized under the patronage of the sovereign ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, the 11-day book fair aims to create a reading community, promote the benefits of reading among children, and make books available to all, as well as profile the written work of the Arab world.

“The Pursuit of the Personal Renaissance Experience” is part science, part philosophy, part memoir, part self-help, and all about a path to happiness. It is Dr. Justus’ take on a difficult to define subject that has fascinated humanity for thousands of years. He believes everyone has the opportunity to experience happiness when he/she chooses to live life in a certain way.

The author’s epiphany occurred when he was suddenly brought face-to-face with a personal short-coming in a mundane, everyday activity that we all engage in: clearing plaque from the surfaces of our teeth with a toothbrush.  Quite simply, the problem was that he was terrible at it.  Everything changed when he was suddenly forced to face this sad fact after being confronted by a thoroughly disgusted dental hygienist. It was in the course of addressing this problem that his theory of the pursuit of happiness evolved.

Dr. Justus then goes on to explain how his views are supported by theories of evolution, the events of human history, and by what we can learn from philosophers, certain movies, our sports stars and other elements of our popular culture.

He concludes by discussing how his theory can be applied to the more important roles we play in our lives.
