Don’t miss Connie S. Arnold’s new book at the Miami Book Fair.

After saving the Patchwork Princess (in book 1) and performing for a horde of dragons (in book 2), Ra-me the Traveling Troubadour sets out on a new adventure, this time facing pirates, curses, a storm, and a mermaid. Follow the green-clad singer’s new adventure in Connie S. Arnold’s “Mudcat the Pirate: The Adventures of Ra-me the Traveling Troubadour Book 3” (iUniverse; 2019).

For fans of the series, await the exhibit of “Mudcat the Pirate” at the Miami Book Fair 2019 Street Fair on November 22-24, 2019 at Miami Dade College (Wolfson Campus) in Downtown Miami. America’s oldest and largest literary festival aims to promote reading; encourage writing; and spread the awareness of literacy and the literary arts in Miami, Florida’s multi-ethnic community. Aside from the weekend Street Fair, the book fair, which will run from Nov. 17 to 24, offers book signings, author talks, panel discussions, musical performances, and many other activities to the attendees.

Arnold’s children’s book “Mudcat the Pirate” will be exhibited by ReadersMagnet at the Miami Book Fair. The third book came out just a few weeks after Blaze the Dragon (book 2) and Dangerous Legacy: The Second Son, the author’s award-winning first novel.

Ra-me is invited to attend and perform at the christening celebration of Fair Haven Village’s newest ship Good Ship Lightning Bolt. The captain offers him a bag of gold for his appearance. It’s not the only thing that entices the traveling troubadour to attend the occasion; he really wants to see a real, live mermaid by the name of Merrilyn, who will break the bottle on the ship’s bow.

But when Merrilyn fails to break the bottle at the christening, a curse in the form of black clouds threatens and a storm descends. Mudcat the Pirate appears and breaks the bottle to appease the sea god, Neptune, who brought the curse. However, during the darkness, Mudcat the Pirate kidnaps the Festival Queen, Miss Lulu Belle.

Ra-me, always an accidental adventurer, is called upon to help rescue Lulu Belle and sails with the captain on Good Ship Lightning Bolt. When Ra-me faces Mudcat the Pirate, he must try to compose a siren’s song to make the pirate give up.

Will Ra-me save Lulu Belle? Read all about it in Connie S. Arnold’s “Mudcat the Pirate: The Adventures of Ra-me the Traveling Troubadour Book 3.”
