Await the public display of this inspiring coming-of-age novel at the Miami Book Fair.

“Strong Boy, Weak Man” (ReadersMagnet; 2019) by Earl Robert Key tells the travails and triumphs in the life of Michael DeAngelo Nicholas, an African-American man who grew up in rural Mississippi in the 1960s. Readers of black fiction should check out the book’s exhibit at the Miami Book Fair 2019 Street Fair on November 22-24, 2019 at Miami Dade College (Wolfson Campus) in Downtown Miami.
Founded in 1984 as “Books by the Bay,” the Miami Book Fair aims to promote reading; encourage the writing craft; and spread the awareness of literacy and the literary arts in Miami’s multi-ethnic community. Aside from the weekend Street Fair, the book fair, which will run from Nov. 17 to 24, offers book signings, author talks, panel discussions, musical performances, and many other activities to the attendees.
Key’s novel “Strong Boy, Weak Man” will be proudly exhibited by ReadersMagnet at the Miami Book Fair.

The novel follows the life of Michael DeAngelo and his sharecropping family in rural Mississippi and his eventual relocation to Memphis, Tennessee. Although Michael DeAngelo is full of dreams and ambition, he struggles with serious learning deficiencies in school and lacks an emotional support system at home. It doesn’t even help that his family is poor and would later break up due to his father’s infidelity.

Nevertheless, Michael DeAngelo is determined and dedicated to learn and change his life around. He begins to learn barbering and shoe shining; take up sports at school; and hits the books. Of course, he also has time for romance. The true test of his life begins in Memphis, where opportunities and women are aplenty, and so are challenges.

Follow Michael DeAngelo’s story and cheer for him in Earl Robert Key’s “Strong Boy, Weak Man.” Available on Amazon and in his website: https://www.erkeybooks.com/.
