Barbara Seidel’s trade book “Documenting The Mind” will be displayed at the 2019 Miami Book Fair

Prolific author and artist Barbara Seidel published her trade book “Documenting The Mind” (Blurb; 2019) earlier this year. This book will be displayed at the Miami Book Fair 2019 Street Fair on November 22-24, 2019 at Miami Dade College (Wolfson Campus) in Downtown Miami, Florida.
 
“Documenting The Mind” provides a picture of the interactions between Seidel, her processes, tools and materials as sparks of something new emerge. It documents the abstract perceptual experiences of an artist engaged in a search for the creative source.
 
“As an artist, my creative intention is to make the invisible visible,” said Seidel. “I enter a hypnagogic state, (and) connect with a sense of my emerging self, exploring techniques that allow authentic aspects of myself to emerge.”
 
This trade book includes six chapters in various media and is an attempt to document a sense of the meditative visual experience, to get free, more out of control, creating an opening within that is both alive and experimental. “This book documents the process of waking up in a multi-dimensional world and connecting with sparks from the source.

About the Author
As a creative activist, Seidel’s focus lies in the transformative nature of the creative process and the ongoing interaction between inner and outer experience. Life is her practice. Her work promotes visual and psychic awareness.

She participates in a deeply immersive relationship between consciousness, culture and cosmos. Books are an extension of that work. Acting as visual and verbal sketchbooks, they provide clear statements of who she once was and assist in releasing old patterns.
