BRF began the process of digitalizing the pork line at the largest industrial plant in Latin America, in Lucas do Rio Verde. From now on, data collection to record information such as product diameter, weight and temperature on the production line, which was previously done by line operators manually, will be done through a cloud storage smartphone app . In addition, the new technology will enable better use of raw materials, increased productivity and reduced operating costs.

It is worth mentioning that the adoption of the software is part of the digital transformation strategy that BRF has been promoting since the beginning of the year. In addition, other solutions were created to assist the logistics, commercial, agricultural and human resources teams. “All of these initiatives are aligned with BRF’s new operational excellence system, which enables the execution of internal activities in a simple and objective manner, focusing on what will really bring results to the business,” says Marcos Marconato, Lucas do Lucas unit manager. Green River.

Lucas do Rio Verde unit is already the second to receive the software, being the first pilot project of Ponta Grossa, the factory that has the largest pizza production in the country. The expectation is to replicate the project in 26 other units of the company. In addition to making the process more agile, the initiative provides a tight integration between the operational and information technology team. “Digital innovation requires a multidisciplinary, collaborative and agile approach. With this, we will accelerate decision-making and benefit the company’s results through better use of raw materials, ”explains Marcos Marconato, Lucas do Rio Verde’s industrial manager.
