Independent Pharmacy Alliance (IPA) Announces John Giampolo Jr. Executive Vice President

The Independent Pharmacy Alliance (IPA), one of the largest pharmacy Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) and Trade Organizations in the United States serving over 3,150 independent retail pharmacies, is very happy to announce the addition of John Giampolo Jr. as Executive Vice President.  John has over 30 years’ experience in a diverse and extensive background in both business and technology.

A founding partner in TSC Solutions, Inc. John has managed a team of consultants along with 30+ staff members who designed, created and implemented software solutions for many industries including distribution, manufacturing, professional services, and healthcare. Later, as CTO of Perspecta (a company focused on healthcare technology solutions), John oversaw the development of multiple new software products for clients ranging from large insurance carriers to small third-party administrators. 

John’s experience in business and technology provides him with a unique knowledge of the inner workings of buying groups and trade associations and their needs in the industry.  “In addition to continuing the important work IPA has been doing for independent pharmacy for 31 years, my goal as EVP is to also develop new and innovative ways to support independent pharmacy owners by enhancing IPA’s role as a resource, advocate and partner with and for its members as well as strengthen our relationship with our contract suppliers,” said John Giampolo Jr.
