Otherwise known as the Frankfurter Buchmesse, the Frankfurt Book Fair is the world’s largest book trade fair, based on both publishing companies represented and number of visitors. It is also the world’s largest trading place for rights and licenses. The first three days of the book fair are restricted exclusively to international deals and trading, and the last two days is then open to the public.
Dr. Draper’s book “The Witness” will be exhibited by ReadersMagnet at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
Internationally recognized consultant, author and teacher, Wanda Draper, Ph.D., Developmental Epistemologist, addresses the origins of inhumanity in “The Witness.”  She draws upon over 40 years of experience working with challenged children and tormented adults on the developmental level in order to reconstruct the chilling and shocking sequences of circumstances that lead to an overwhelming cascade of factors that triggered the development of a monster murderer. Draper, as an expert witness in the penalty phase of capital murder trials, offers explanations—not excuses—for how the defendant committed such atrocities, helping to dissect the internal working model of a murderer and to discern the pattern and strains of violence from the interweaving of development and behavior.

Dr. Draper guides the reader, helping to uncover the deeper roots of violence.  Her real-life experiences creatively woven with literary devices provoke thoughts, adding to the very real and pertinent discussions occurring at both the local and national levels about how to prevent the violence and crime plaguing our nation and the world.

‘The Witness’ pieces together shards of personal circumstances and critical life events so often swept under the rug of family shame and neglect,” said Dr. Draper about her book, “revealing how the past casts a grave shadow over the future.” The book offers insight into this dark side of our society, discussing psychological, biological, social and economic factors behind heinous crimes.
