Former news editor and author Carol Handy struts her children’s fiction in Frankfurt

Former news editor and author of children’s books Carol Handy is displaying her inspiring novel at the grandest literary event in Frankfurt happening in a couple of months. Handy’s classic fairytale follows a young prince on his quest to slay the dragons.
The story is set in a future time and the young Prince Kan sets out on a journey to the Province of Emota to meet the dragons, which he is about to slay. At some point, the prince discovers that the dragons are parts of himself and he cannot kill them. Soon he must understand the dragons’ purpose in his personality and learns how to cope with the distressing parts of himself.

About the Author
Carol Handy attended Grinell College in Iowa and studied at Michigan State University, as well as Andrews University. She is a published poet and served as the writer/editor of the Baha’i International News Service in Haifa, Israel from 1989 to 1990. She previously published a Baha’i-themed fairytale called The Dragons of Rizvania. Her proudest accomplishments are her five children, twelve grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
