Author E. Dorinda Shelley introduces her first work of the “Helium” series

The story centers on the mystery of a certain table.

Grand Rapids, Ohio, USA – WEBWIRE

My father, who is a doctor, always left his heavy books on the table.

Author of children’s books and dermatologist E. Dorinda Shelley is sending her “Helium” series books to the crowd-pleasing book fair in Frankfurt this October.

One of her books, “The Helium Table,” tells an outrageous adventure of a girl named Kath who is helping her mother clean off their dining room table stacked with junk mail, books, and newspapers. For five years their table has appeared just like that, although Kath recalled her father once saying that the books would hold down the table, which is made of helium, a light substance that would make it float away. To Kath, a table that light weight floating away like a balloon sounded absurd, so she began to remove the piles one at a time until the table indeed drifts up into the air and out the door.

Here comes the most amusing part of the story: Kath’s barn animals help bring the table home again as it keeps on drifting up into space! The animals work together collecting space junk to bring the table back to earth. Will they triumph in their effort?

Find out more of this story and the rest of the “Helium” series as they appear at the 2019 Frankfurt International Book Fair. This large event is slated for October 16 - 20, 2019 in Frankfurt Germany. See you there!
