About the Author
Alan Alston Sr. was born on December 2, 1969 in Louisville, Kentucky and grew up in Beecher Terrace Housing Projects. At 17 years old, he became a father to three children. Then at 21 years old, he started fathering his fourth child. Relentless to stay focus, Alan received his G.E.D. and eventually graduated from Butler Traditional High School because he wanted to walk down the isle in a graduation ceremony. Things went financially rough until he was hired at Ford Motor Co. in 1995 and had worked there for 12 ½ years. Ambitious and hopeful, he started composing poetry with the encouragement of coworkers. At the age of 40 years old, he graduated from Jefferson Community Technical College, with his diploma and HVAC license. Alan is now a published author, he is married, and has a step-daughter and a nine month old daughter with his wife of 17 years.
